After three weeks of endless decorating, shopping, and wrapping, I was still not prepared to come back to school. I enjoyed my every minute of my break especially because this Christmas my family members from Texas visited us here in Lindsay. Although family can quickly get annoying this holiday season was wonderful! My cousins and I bonded over shopping; I decorated with my mom, and spent almost every night alone in my room wrapping gifts while listening to Christmas music.
Aside from all the Christmas duties I watched High School Musical, High School Musical 2, and High School Musical 3: Senior year, at least a hundred times each. Even though I wasn’t ready to leave home I am sure my mother was eager to get me out of the house as she was starting to grow tired of hearing the High School Musical soundtrack every day. My last week home was very productive. I completed two journals in one night and many other assignments the following days. My New Year’s Eve celebration was a calm celebration. I spent it with a handful of my closest relatives at my home and ate dinner together. And of course, I ended my New Year’s Eve by watching High School Musical with my cousins and welcomed the New Year by watching High School Musical again. As we near the end of the fall semester I am reflecting on everything I liked and disliked about it. My list of complaints is non-existent; I enjoyed everything about the fall semester despite the difficulties. I am well aware that the semester is coming to end and I feel excited about the spring but am a bit upset because I’ll be making the transition from Government to econ and I really enjoyed Mr. Pierotte’s teaching methods. Also I feel upset because the friends I have in biology and I will be separated once we finish the class. Considering I am not graduating this year, I just have to focus on completing and turning in all assignments for the fall semester.
Being a junior, I have not started working on college applications or looked for a job after high school. However, I am currently working on completing as many senior assignments this year as possible to be able to focus more on finding a job and fill out college applications my senior year. Finishing senior English and History this year will make a tremendous difference for me my senior year because I’ll be able to fully enjoy my last year attending Lindsay High.
